I have worked hard in the Republican Party for many years and know most of our elected officials. I have campaigned for local, state and national republicans and have become friends with many of them.
This picture was taken while I was working on Haley Barbour’s first campaign for Governor. Governor Kirk Fordice stopped by to lend a helping hand and sadly has since passed away.

I have been a nurse for 28 years, which puts me at an extreme advantage of knowing the healthcare system. I work daily with Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance. I have worked in the Emergency Room, OB/GYN and for the last 10 years with Home Health and Hospice. I work with the elderly and disabled and know the struggles they face day to day. I hope that I can be an advocate for you as I have been for 28 years for my patients.

 

Teenage Republicans

I joined the Republican Party in 1972 at the age of fifteen. I am fifty years old and I have never flipped flopped on my party. The Republican Party stands for low taxes, small government and family values. This was not a hard choice for me. I realized how important it was for me to learn early the importance of voting and understanding our political system. I wanted that for my daughter and last year started a Teenage American Republican group. They are registered with the State TARs and National TARs. I enjoy every minute I spend with them and I learn as much as they do. James Wesley Dennis seen sitting at the head of the table was voted Governor at Boys State this summer!
 
It is so much fun to take the TARS to political events. I get a completely different view of the world from them. They are our future and are very precious to me.
Becky Currie serves voluntarily for Brookhaven Little Theatre Board of Trustees and helps with Theater functions, plays and fundraising.
